leaving
During our stay at Qaqortoq, the ship's crew brought a number of kids on board the ship for a party, which they thoroughly enjoyed.  As the ship pulled away this picture shows the main dock area with the houses in the background.
The houses continue on up the hill probably along a road although there are not many roads in Greenland. After Greenland it was a day's sail  to Newfoundland.
surprise
couple
After dinner we were presented with this surprise Anniversary Cake.  We had been seated in the upper dining room which had a smaller number of diners (some say due to sea conditions, but that was just rumors).
We shared the table with two people from Spain, and two from Scotland, so it was a fine international dinner.
St. Anthony
shop
After sailing through the aftermath of Danielle, we arrived in St. Anthony, Newfoundland and to beautiful blue skies and delightful weather. But then, Newfoundland is always gorgeous.
That green building ahead is the gift shop and Mom is headed straight toward it.  Actually, the gift shop benefits the Grenfell Medical facility and gifts are cheaper here and are the work of local artisans.
