We were met at the dock by  a dancing violin serenade.  Moving and playing must have been quite a chore. 
We looked for the ice but could not find any so it was probably safe for mom to stand here.

In 1892, a fire burnt out my great grandfathers store and home.  It was located on the grassy area above the wall on the right of the one way street. 
Here is another shot of the same site. It looks like no one has built here since the fire.

St. John's at night
This is an example of St. John's graffiti.  It is more picturesque than the usual variety. 
We left St. John's at night and you can see the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist shining on the hill. One of my grandmother's sisters was baptized here on the day of the Great Fire.
