We were going through southern Utah on our way to Colorado and the area is referred to as Monument Valley and much of it was on or near the Navajo Reservation.
Many of the structures resembled statues although all are natural formations formed by wind and water over the ages.

Now the monuments are starting to show a white frosting on top as someone had poured frosting on the red cliffs.
We paused at a crossroads near the San Juan River to take in the sight of these frosted mountains.

Here we see another group of this white covered red rocks.
Looking back we can see the Navajo twin rocks toward the left of the picture.  This was near Bluff, Utah.
