We came to a stop. It was a scheduled stop, but the conductor announced that they had a problem. There had been a storm the night before (which we knew) and it had caused a rock slide  onto the tracks so we had to wait for them to clear the tracks ahead.
So we got out from the train and looked up and down to see the train stopped in the wilderness at the point of no return. Our car was the last yellow car on the right. The red cars on the left were the higher priced seats - even though one of the cars did not have any windows.

After taking pictures of the train and surroundings
and getting back onto the train, we received some more news.
Apparently, the rocks had broken the tracks and they had to be replaced.  The conductor said they had sent to Japan for replacements and they should be here in about 8 hours.

But after a few hours, the train started up the incline again and we noticed snow on the ground as we climbed.
The snow was on the mountains and a little on the ground around us.
